Our Story

Every great journey takes place within the context of a great story; and every story has a beginning. Our journey as a church is no different.

The beginning…

In the summer of 2003 a team was commissioned by Fellowship Bible Church Little Rock to plant a church in East Tennessee. Upon arrival in Knoxville, the team began forming a core group of people who were longing for God to do something amazing in their city.

This small group of people began meeting in the home of Blair and Debbye Wright where they began the journey of becoming a church of irresistible influence in the Knoxville area. We met weekly to study the Scriptures, pray together, celebrate the Lord’s Table, worship together and explore what it means to be an authentic community of believers where people are equipped and challenged to give their lives away.

In the spring of 2004, that small gathering grew out of the Wright’s home and began meeting at West Park Baptist Church. We have continued to add to our number and are now poised for the next chapter in the story of Fellowship Bible Church Knoxville (FBCK).

The road we find ourselves on now…

In the fall of 2004, our core team outgrew our meeting space at West Park Baptist Church and has now moved to Pellissippi State Technical Community College. While our location has changed and more have joined our ranks, we continue to be a growing family of faith, passionately committed to the same mission and values that originally drew us together.
