Our Leadership

Leadership at Fellowship Bible Church Knoxville

Fellowship Bible Church Knoxville is a community of believers in Jesus that follow Him.  He is our leader.  Among ourselves, we have a few men and women who provide secondary leadership through serving and supporting the body in unique ways.  Primarily you will find them fitting into these categories:

Board of Elders/Elders: FBC as a community submits the authority of the organization and community-as-a-whole to the care of a Board of Elders.  Each of the men on the Board of Elders has been affirmed by this body to shepherd this community of redeemed Jesus-followers as they follow the leading of our Heavenly Father through the Holy Spirit.

Pastoral Team: The Pastoral Team at FBC fills the role that most people know as “Senior Pastor”.  This team comprises the two vocational pastors who, together, bear the highest level of responsibility for shepherding and supporting leadership in all areas of the church.  The Pastoral Team members as well as the team itself fall under the authority of the Board of Elders.

Vocational Staff: Vocational staff serve either full-time or part-time as employees of the church and serve the body in many different areas.  Vocational staff are led by one of the Pastoral Team members or another senior staffer.  Like the Pastoral Team, the final vocational authority of these staffers rests with the Board of Elders.

Volunteer Staff: These servant-leaders fill leadership roles that we are not able to fill in a staff position.  Though not paid for their work, we find them doing the best job imaginable.  Volunteer staff are led by one of the Pastoral Team members or another senior staffer.
